Summit County Century

 

A tour of 3 Summit County passes in 101 miles with 6,800' of climb. The route is from the century option of the old Circle The Summit Bob Guthrie Memorial Ride supported ride.

The route starts in Frisco and heads across the Lake Dillon dam to Silverthorne on the way out to Ute Pass. It then returns through Dillon & Keystone for the climb to the Araphoe Basin ski area. For a few additional miles, feet of climb and above treeline views, add to the ride by going the 4 miles beyond A-Basin to the Loveland Pass summit at 11,990'.

It then returns through Keystone for the climb over Swan Mountain to Frisco and on to Copper Mountain ski area and the Vail Pass summit before finally returning to finish back in Frisco.

Be sure to fill your bottles in Silverthorne since it's a 30+ mile round trip out to the Ute Pass summit and back with no place to refill.
